Neil Duddy - Buckshott ®
Neil Duddy's reputation as a talented, versatile, spontaneous and unpredictable entertainer is evident in every performance.
With almost 20 years experience as a professional entertainer, Neil’s down to earth attitude and magnetic personality is well renowned and respected within the Country Music Industry.
Regarded as a quite achiever, Neil prefers to shun the spotlight and instead concentrates on getting on with the job of entertaining.
I love my job but I honestly don't seek the spotlight say's Neil.
"I actually prefer to turn the attention toward my audience and strive to create a happy and cheerful atmosphere"
"My shows are always laced with a decent dose of good ol' Aussie humour and I pay tribute to many various artists encouraging and thriving on 'non country' requests as well. Whether I'm performing for a nursing home, school fete or a rockin' rodeo crowd, I love to see my audience kicking their heels up and having a good time. It's all about having fun!"
Able to move freely amongst his audience using wireless equipment, Neil is in high demand regularly performing at Rodeos, Town Shows, Clubs, Hotels and numerous fundraising and private functions.
Born in Coonamble NSW in 1965, Neil is the second youngest of five boys.
After leaving school he spent the next ten years working various jobs including 3 years on a wheat sheep and cattle property as a station hand. Other positions included truck driver and machine operator however it was only after he injured his back as a landscape gardener that Neil's music career kicked off.
After much encouragement from family and friends, Neil entered and won his first talent quest in 1990 at the age of 25.
Within 12 months he went on to win the inaugural Australasian Busking Award at the Tamworth Country Music Festival and was a Grand finalist at his first Gympie Music Muster after winning the Country Rock Award.
Soon after, Neil moved to Queensland and has continually developed his craft, successfully turning his hobby into a thriving small business. The rest as they say is history.
Of course there is another side to Neil Duddy as well, the family man.
The proud father of two young boys and recently engaged to his adored partner Roxanne, Neil is actively involved in his son's schooling and sporting interests, being a member of their School P & C and Junior Football Club.
Well respected within his local community of Peak Crossing near Ipswich, Neil is responsible for many fundraising events and also has a genuine passion for promoting fellow Aussie musicians.
Original organiser of the Mutdapilly Muster and The Nindigully Pig Races, Neil now concentrates his efforts on his major fundraising event, The Peak Pig Races & Music Muster, which raises thousands of dollars annually for the Royal Flying Doctors.
"I've been involved in many various events and have made some great friendships along the way.
The LONGRIDE to Darwin was an experience I'll never forget. A motorbike ride, in aid of the RFDS, we kicked off with 38 bikes and rolled into Darwin a week later with approximately 500.
I was invited to perform along the way and was so inspired I wrote and recorded the song "LongRide" to commemorate the occasion".
Neil is excited about releasing his 4th independent album, "Pot of Gold", which contains original songs about Love, Life, Family, Friends and Fun.
"Pot of Gold" is a true reflection of Neil Duddy's character, personality and patriotism.

QUEENSLAND SECTION • NOVEMBER 09
Every year, hundreds of RFDS supporters organise and participate
in community events to help raise vital funds to keep us flying. The
RFDS places great value on the resulting funds raised and increased
awareness of the RFDS. Each dollar raised goes towards the purchase
of aircraft and lifesaving medical equipment.
The RFDS is fortunate to be the beneficiary of a number of annual fundraising
events showcased here. Year after year, a tremendous amount of time and
energy goes into producing these events, some of which are almost icons
themselves.
The RFDS would like to thank our annual event organisers, those who support
the events and participants. You keep the Flying Doctor flying!
Peak Pig Races and Music Muster 2009
The second annual Peak Pig Races and Music Muster raised $7,500 for the RFDS.
Event organiser and local musician, Neil Duddy, said this year's event was a huge
success with approximately 1,000 people attending. Punters were rewarded with
cash and prizes as they cheered on Noah's Farm’s famous racing pigs. To add to
the excitement, members of the Brisbane Sky Diving Centre 'dropped in' and the
kids loved the jumping castle and rock climbing wall. Country and rock 'n' roll music
fans danced the night away with live performances by Neil Duddy, Owen and Dana
Hogan, Dusty Fraser, Ted and Eddie Thompson, Susanna Reiser, Chad Shuttleworth,
Billy J.O.K and The Smokin' Crawdads.
Next year's event will certainly be bigger and better with plans for a three day
festival well underway! For information on next year's event, contact Neil Duddy
